Our range of services includes individual services (manufacturing, preparation, measurement tasks, expert opinions, consulting) and feasibility studies up to industrial research projects and long-term research cooperations in bilateral projects with industrial partners or larger joint projects with shares of public funding.

An overview of our services



Service measurements

With our well-equipped machine park, we offer the possibility of characterizing components or materials. This includes, for example, the determination of mechanical parameters, chemical composition, tribological properties or failure and microstructure analyses including material science evaluation. We can also provide literature research and briefings on selected topics.



Feasibility studies

For some of our processes, which we offer as services (e.g. laser structuring using xDLIP), immediate implementation in existing processes involves increased effort. In order to be able to apply the presented processes quickly and easily, we offer different levels of feasibility studies. Starting with a first material sample of the component over final geometries up to the implementation at pilot plants, we can accompany the entire development.



Projects

We are happy to realize shorter development projects (classically up to one year) for you. At the beginning we define the goal as well as individual milestones and possible external partners with you. For the entire duration, we provide you with a project manager as a contact person who takes care of your project.



Strategic partnerships

As a strategic partner, we support our customers with exceptional questions and innovation projects continuously over several years, be it with the development of new products or a realignment of the research priorities. In this area, there is also the possibility of cooperation with Saarland University and the completion of a PhD.



Consulting

We are available to you as a competent materials partner for many issues, whether cross-divisional internally or at the customer.



Trainings

In addition to some training sessions where our employees speak as experts, we also offer training courses on our topics. We can align our selected contents to your desired focus and set the necessary priorities for you. Particularly in demand are the topics of machine learning and metallographic preparation methods including subsequent microstructure evaluation in steel.
